Mo and I are avid fans of the Pottery Throwdown series.   It was great to see Lee from Huddersfield appear on the show as Mo purchased her  first kickwheel from him. 2 or 3 years ago and kept in touch with what he was up to.

Each year Mo has had a go  a go at certain of their makes  ( and I have tried some too but not with the same success or persistence) but this year with Lockdown  she has had a go at most of it apart from Naked Raku which was week 4 due to not having a Raku kiln  (I know she is plotting how we can get one)   and again I have tried one or two but not with the same determination.
So here’s some of what  Mo has  been doing.

Week 1:
Main challenge was to make a fondue pan, a cheese dome and  2 pickle jars .  See below 

Week 2:    The illuminated structural building. I chose to do the tower at Castle Hill in Huddersfield as it tells a tale of a sleeping dragon.

Week 3:  This week was the Fruit bowl and fruit challenge.   Anyone who knows Mo will understand her efforts this week had a familiar feel to it  as Frida made her appearance.

Week 4 :    Naked Raku week    and although we don't have a Raku kiln   (yet I can har Mo saying)  Mo decided to make something in a different clay  to show willing for this week.  Unfortunately I can't find the images of them at the moment so will post when I find them

Week 5:  This  week had them make musical busts of legends chosen for them. Mo couldn’t face a Dolly Parton so chose  her own  and to my surprise she did not try to pretend Frida was a musician  and chose  to do Amy Winehouse   Mo was shocked that she  could get a likeness,   so here are some pics of her drying out.  What do you think ?   Did she get a likeness?
