Our returnable kits* have no deadline for returning or minimum order and include the following: 5 free pots of underglaze Black, White, Red, Blue, Yellow (with these you can mix any other colour) Switching In / Switching Out If you would rather swap some colours e.g. you don't want Blue but would love a purple this can be done at the end of the ordering process when asked to Review & Submit your order, by using the Note to Seller section. Please state which colour/s you want to switch for what number colour/s you want to replace them with for each of your pots separating with a comma e.g. Santa Bowl Blue for 16, Yellow for 8, Santa Gnome, Blue for 3, Black for 24 See the colour palette below right to help you decide 1 Brush & 1 sponge (The brush is not too large and so if you are painting a large item you may want to use a sponge technique for better coverage or we do sell sets of and individual sized brushes on the site). 1 Help Sheet We suggest you use a saucer or plate from home as your paint palette. |
The cost of the returnable kit* is simply the price of the pot/s you wish to paint so if you choose a £10 pot that is what it costs (so the same deal as if you were in our Happy Potter Studio).
*This is in the interest of the environment. Please help us to limit the purchase of plastic by returning the plastic pots and brushes with your painted pots so that we can disinfect and re-use. This also helps us to keep the costs down for you and us. All returned pots and brushes will be disinfected and quarantined for at least 72 hours before re-use.
Please Remember : there is no minimum number of pots so if you only want one we are happy with that. Also there is no deadline for returning for firing so you can take your time over your masterpiece.
We understand that mixing colours can cause wastage and so we have made all our studio colour range available from the online store.
Remember your first 5 colours are free Extra colours can be ordered at 50p per pot - the image below is a guide to the numbered colours but differences in monitor settings and photograph can be misleading and so please check the colour name on the item page when ordering. Note that number 6 looks yellow on my screen but it is actually a lime green. Click the image below to go and have a look. |
Important Note:
All our pots are stilted during firing which allows you to paint the base or reverse side of your pot. This process can sometimes leave small sharp pin marks on the pot which we sand off before returning your pot to you. Therefore there is always likely to be evidence of these pin marks on your pot which should not give cause for concern as this is standard practice when firing glazed earthenware. This is different to dry footed items. |
