Adult Pottery - Evening Wheel Throwing Experience- Part 2 - "Centring the Clay" Weds 19th Feb 20 7pm - 8pm
This workshop concentrates on centring your clay on the pottery wheel. This is a crucial element of wheel throwing and if you have never done any before can be somewhat daunting.
Because of this we recommend doing this workshop after you have attended one of our Part 1 "Pulling a Pot" wheel experiences where we centre your clay and then you are shown how to pull a simple cylinder pot.
We have 4 wheels and so only 4 places are available. The session is one hour long and concentrates on the centring of clay rather than the end product but it is possible to fire your best effort if you wish at no extra charge.
Please remember that pots need to be dried before firing and this can take 2 or more weeks depending on the thickness. When you pot is first fired it is then ready for decorating and glazing. The cost of this is not included but can be done with us using our underglazes in our Happy Potter Pot Painting Studio at a cost of £5 per pot. We apply a clear dipping glaze that will ensure that your pot is waterproof. (Please note you are under no obligation to decorate your pot with us - you could paint it with acrylic at home and coat with a varnish - it is your choice).
Please read our Cancellation Policy before booking your workshop
