Adult Pottery Wheel Experience - Saturday 16th July 2022 2pm - 3:15pm
Have you been watching the Great Pottery Throw down ? Why not come and have a go at throwing your own pot. This is a opportunity for complete beginners to come and experience the thrill of wheel throwing. We have 4 wheels and so only 4 places are available. The session is one hour and fifteen mins long. This includes 15 min clean up time at the end.
You will watch a demonstration of how to throw a pot and then will have time to have a go yourself with help and support from the potter. Don't worry if things go wrong we do have spare clay for you to have another try.
Please remember that it is not as easy as it looks but it is a lot of fun. We will guide you through the different stages and techniques involved.
Please leave watches, rings and other jewellery at home. Wear old clothing and if you have an apron please bring it with you although we do have aprons available
NB. The workshop fee does NOT include any firing fees. Your options on a nominal firing fee and options to paint with our underglazes will be discussed with you during the workshop.
Please note this is an adult only workshop.
